Lindon police will be holding a DUI checkpoint this Saturday, April 13th from 8pm to midnight. It will be located on Center St. and Geneva Rd (Highway 114).
If you are stopped at this checkpoint or any other checkpoint, be sure to be as polite as possible. Remember, you do not need to answer any question other than stating your name and handing the officer your paper work.
You may also be required to submit to a BAC test if the officer has a reason to believe you are under the influence.
Remember, in the state of Utah as well as other states, you can still be arrested for a DUI even if your BAC is under the legal limit. If a police officer sees any sign of impairment to the point where you cannot operate a vehicle, no matter how drunk you are, you can be charged. That’s why it’s important to speak as little as possible and hire an attorney as soon as you can.
