By submitting this questionnaire, you are not forming an attorney-client relationship. The only way to establish an attorney-client relationship with a criminal defense attorney or DUI / DWI criminal defense lawyer is to sign a written retainer agreement and comply with its terms.

Before becoming a Colorado DUI defense lawyer, Chris Cessna served as a law enforcement officer for ten years. During this time, he received formal training in conducting DUI investigations through the administration of standardized field sobriety testing and the operation of the Intoxilyzer 4011 and 5000, used by Colorado Police while investigating a DUI arrest.

In 1996, Mr. Cessna was accepted into the University Of Denver College Of Law. During his law school tenure, Chris served as an intern deputy district attorney prosecuting traffic cases at trial, and was selected to research, write and submit an appellate brief to the Colorado Supreme Court for its deliberation and consideration on the admissibility of "Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) evidence in DUI and drunk driving cases".

Colorado DUI Defense Attorney, Christopher H. Cessna

After graduating from law school in 1999, Mr. Cessna was immediately hired as a full-time deputy district attorney prosecuting DUI cases and trying numerous jury trials involving complex scientific evidence such as breath, blood and other chemical tests as it relates to drinking and driving.

In 2002, Mr. Cessna founded his own private law practice with a concentration on defending DUI / DWI arrests. Since that time, Chris’ litigation skills and understanding of the complexities of drinking and driving offenses and penalties has resulted in obtaining dismissals of drinking and driving (DUI) charges for his clients either during the pre-trial phase, motions phase or jury trial phase of a case.

DUI defense lawyer Chris Cessna focuses his practices in the Colorado counties of Broomfield, Clear Creek, Elbert, El Paso, Gilpin, Larimer, Logan, Morgan, Park, Summit, Teller, and Weld.

While Colorado DUI defense lawyer Chris Cessna is a sought after litigator, he always makes time to answer questions and field concerns of his DUI clients. Chris is available to discuss your case by calling 1.800.DUI.LAWS. The call and the consultation are always FREE.

Why should you hire me?

“As a potential DUI / DWI client, you should consider me to represent you as your attorney because I have the training and experience necessary to edefend your DUI case. Few offenses in America’s criminal justice system (including murder trials) call for greater attorney expertise than cases involving driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Properly defending a DUI case is just as complex as defending any “DNA murder” case since a DUI almost always involves scientific evidence (the chemical evidence obtained from you such as breath or blood tests). At this critical moment you need an experienced drunk driving trial attorney who has been formally trained in the intricacies of this scientific evidence and argue effectively on your behalf. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for a free consultation."

Colorado Expungement

Expungement of criminal records can be a complex process, and the ability to clean up past criminal convictions depends upon many different factors. The law relating to expunging criminal convictions varies from state to state. In the State of Colorado any drinking and driving charge can be expunged if handled properly. It is important that you consult with a lawyer that is skilled in matters pertaining to expungement.

Other Colorado Resources

There are a variety of special problems that arise following a Colorado drunk driving, DUI, or DUI arrest. It may be necessary to use a bail bondsman to help a friend or loved one gain release from custody. Renting a car may be difficult (although we know of several companies that will do so), as is getting car insurance. There may be a requirement to attend special alcohol programs, or AA meetings.
