Accomplishments/Notes
Briefed, argued and won State v. Goldberg, 872 A.2d 378, 2005 VT 41 (2005) with Attorney Paul Volk, Esq. In Goldberg, the Vermont Supreme Court threw out a search warrant and suppressed all evidence against the defendants on the grounds that the warrant was not supported by probable cause. This written decision ensures that law enforcement corroborates information supporting the application for a warrant and helps ensure that a truly neutral and detached magistrate stands between law enforcement and the citizens of Vermont. Ultimately, this decision bolsters the privacy rights of all Vermonters.

Why should you hire me?
"I can offer you the kind of Vermont DUI / DWI defense that you need and deserve. I’ll collect and review all discover evidence, interview witnesses, take depositions where appropriate, hire experts, file suppression motions, and take the case to trial if warranted. We are the only private law firm in Vermont with an in-house investigator. In your DUI / DWI case, an in-house investigator can mean the difference between a conviction and jail sentence or the dismissal of your case.
I have filed a suppression motion in every Vermont DUI / DWI case I’ve defended based upon a constitutional or statutory violation in either the vehicle stop or the processing. Many of these motions have been granted, at times resulting in the dismissal of the case or seriously compromising the strength of the state’s criminal case. If you are charged with a DUI / DWI and your liberty is at stake, it just makes sense to hire a firm with the experience and resources to thoroughly investigate and defend your case.
